Dr. Alden Adolph enjoys getting to work with students on a variety of snow related projects. From field work, to modeling, to lab measurements, any chance to learn more about snow physics will certainly spark joy! She likes running and cross country skiing, and is always open to discussing Taylor Swift's music or vegetarian cooking ideas.

Samip Karki is a junior Physics and Mathematics major with a concentration in engineering studies from Omaha, Nebraska. In the ISE Research Team, he is working with Peter Larson to create a ray tracing program which simulates photons as they interact with ice in a virtual snow pack. Outside of research, Samip enjoys playing trumpet, playing Spikeball with friends, and watching Marvel movies.

Peter Larson is a physics major with concentrations in environmental studies and engineering studies. As a part of the ISE team, he's working on a computational model of many individual photons interacting with a snowpack to simulate light's interactions with different arrangements of snow grains. Outside of classes and lab, he is on the cross country and track teams, and enjoys attending clubs such as the curling club.

Jazline is a senior Chemistry major with a concentration in Engineering Studies. As part of the ISE team, she is developing instrumentation to improve measurements of snow grain size at particular wavelengths. Outside of research, she is part of NorthStar Stem, a cohort leading first-generation and POC students in the various fields of STEM. In her free time, she enjoys weightlifting and watching horror movies.
